Leica M4 Silver 1253374 DAG overhaul

This Leica M4 (Silver), #1253374, is in great condition with minor handling wear. I rate it cosmetically a (9). The camera is in proper working order; film advances properly, the viewfinder is clear, the shutter is accurate at all speeds, the self-timer functions, and the rangefinder is bright & accurate. This camera includes a body cap. It was overhauled by DAG in 2025. Please refer to the photos for details.

What Our Experts Think
  • Classic 90mm f2 Summicron-M lens with 6-Bit coding for seamless camera communication.

  • Exceptional sharpness, contrast, and bokeh ideal for portrait and medium-telephoto photography.

  • Durable all-metal Leica construction built for long-lasting reliability.

  • Smooth rendering with accurate color and minimal optical aberrations.

  • Compatible with Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras for versatile creative use.

Q&A
  • Q: Which cameras is it compatible with?
    A: Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras.

  • Q: What is 6-Bit coding?
A: Digital encoding that stores lens data for improved in-camera EXIF and performance.

  • Q: Is it suitable for portraits?
A: Yes, 90mm focal length and f2 aperture provide flattering compression and creamy bokeh.

  • Q: Can it perform in low light?
A: Yes, f2 aperture handles dim lighting well.

Maintenance Tips
  • Keep front and rear caps on when not in use.

  • Clean optics gently with a microfiber cloth and lens-safe solution.

  • Avoid touching glass elements directly.

  • Store in a dry, padded case to prevent damage.

  • Check lens mount periodically for smooth and secure attachment.
