Revere 4-8 Person Low profile USCG/ SOLAS B Life Raft - 45-REV-CGS-4LP-B

Revere USCG/SOLAS Life Rafts are renowned for their uncompromising quality and design sophistication. In addition to meeting the requirements of the International Convention of the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1983, as amended, the USCG/SOLAS Life Raft holds United States Coast Guard Approval.

Meeting the needs of all types of commercial craft, the Revere USCG/SOLAS Life Raft range consists of two models: standard throw over and davit-launched. These rafts come accommodate 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 25 persons and davit- launched in 12, 16, 20 and 25. Every Raft comes packed in a weatherproof fiberglass container to keep the raft protected for longer service life. The container is secured to a steel deck mounted stowage cradle with a hydrostatic release, allowing for both manual and automatic launching. A space saving “low-profile” fiberglass container and aluminium cradle assembly is also available for the 4, 6, and 8 person rafts. In lieu of a SOLAS pack, Coastal Service valise packed rafts are available in 4, 6, 8 person.

Its low‑profile fiberglass container and aluminum cradle minimize deck intrusion while keeping the raft ready for rapid/manual or hydrostatic deployment.
  • Quick, reliable boarding & stability features
Dual inflation tubes, an inflatable boarding ramp, large ballast bags, and exterior/interior safety lines help ensure stable flotation and fast boarding in adverse conditions.
  • High visibility for faster rescue response
Bright, self‑erecting canopy with retro‑reflective tape and an automatically operating locator light enhance visibility in low‑light and open‑water rescues.
  • Comprehensive B‑Pack survival kit included

Maintenance Tips
  • Annual certified servicing: Have the raft serviced yearly by a USCG‑certified life raft service station to inspect seams, inflation systems, hoses, hydrostatic release, and repack the B pack—it ensures safety readiness and maintains approval.
  • Protect storage: Keep in a cool, dry, UV‑protected area to prevent canopy, tube, and fabric degradation; moisture and sun can weaken materials over time.
  • Inspect container & cradle: Before every voyage, check the fiberglass container, low‑profile cradle, hydrostatic release unit, and mounting hardware for corrosion, cracks, or looseness.
  • Avoid compression/stacking: Do not stack heavy gear on the container or compress it—pressure can weaken seals and reduce rapid deployment reliability.
  • Verify B‑Pack survival gear: Make sure paddles, bailer, flares, smoke signals, repair kit, flashlights, and other B‑Pack items are present and functional (B pack has reduced gear vs SOLAS A).
  • Rinse after salt exposure: Light freshwater rinse of the cradle and fittings reduces corrosion on metal components.
  • Crew training: Confirm crew know deployment steps (auto/manual inflation, boarding ramp, canopy use) to reduce panic and delays
