VENTAHOOD 30" 300 CFM Euro-Style Wall Mount Range Hood in Stainless Steel - SLDH14130SS

This Euroline Series with Emerald Lip is a versatile European style hood that can stand alone or be installed between cabinets. Heat lamps are not available on this model. Click on the models for a list of our base model numbers for standard sizes; simply select the model you need, and then specify the finish [painted or stainless steel.] Not available in real brass, real copper, or hammered copper. Recommended mounting height is 24" from the cooking surface. Shown with matching wall mount duct cover [sold separately], available in standard sizes for 7', 8', and 9' ceiling heights or in custom sizes. All Vent-A-Hood products are suitable for use in damp locations [outdoor applications such as a covered patio] when installed in a GFCI protected branch circuit.

What our Experts Think
  • Balanced ventilation for everyday cooking — 300 CFM internal blower moves smoke and odors effectively for most residential kitchens. Recommended 6″ round duct for best airflow.

  • Quiet and efficient design — engineered to operate quietly (~5.4 sones) even at higher speeds.

  • Euro‑style aesthetic — European‑inspired profile with an emerald lip adds contemporary flair and works well standalone or between cabinets.

  • Filter‑less Magic Lung blower — patented centrifugal design simplifies grease handling and reduces maintenance vs traditional filter systems.

  • Responsive heat control (SensaSource) — blower speed automatically adjusts with cooking heat for improved performance.

  • Good cooktop lighting — dual halogen/LED lights improve visibility over food prep areas.

  • Installation‑ready — recommended mounting ~24″ above the cooktop and compatible with standard ducting; duct cover sold separately.

Q&A

Maintenance Tips
  • Weekly Exterior Cleaning – Wipe the stainless steel exterior with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners and steel wool to protect the finish.

  • Magic Lung Blower Care – This model uses Ventahood’s filter‑less Magic Lung blower design that captures grease inside the blower housing instead of traditional filters; periodically clean the blower housing and removable shields with warm water and mild detergent to maintain airflow and performance.

  • Interior Grease Wipe‑Down – Clean interior surfaces and grease collection areas regularly with a mild degreaser or dish soap to prevent buildup that can reduce suction efficiency.

  • Light Maintenance – Ensure power is off and lights are cool before replacing bulbs; wipe light covers to maintain good illumination over the cooktop.

  • Annual Duct & Fan Inspection – Check ductwork and the blower area at least once a year for grease or blockages; remove debris to preserve performance and reduce fire risk.

  • Post‑Cooking Ventilation – Run the hood for a few extra minutes after cooking to help clear lingering steam, smoke, and airborne grease for easier cleaning later.

  • Professional Service When Needed – If airflow reduces or you notice unusual noises, have a qualified technician inspect the blower and electrical components.
